![]() ![]() The only way that Microsoft Edge works, as far as I can tell, since the icon disappeared from the toolbar and the apps shown by the start button a week ago, is to activate Cortana, get her/she/it/they to learn your voice and speak either the website you want to go to or say “Microsoft Edge” and you will get that browser on the Internet. I tried them all -the DISM commands, sfc/scannow, all the crap they kept repeating over and over and nothing worked until Microsoft, apparently, just issued a new upgrade in the last couple days. UPDATE October 1, 2015: Microsoft has released a cumulative update Kb3093266 to address critical error dialogs, check this, install the update and check if the issue persists.Īl the proposed fixes by Microsoft support engineers on the community website for Windows 10 and/or Microsoft Edge do NOTHING.
